Parody by NoahE (2020)

Love Homework

My name is Noah Esparza and I am a student at freestyle academy. This week we were to record our parody song, edit it, and write an statement about our work. For my project I chose to do a parody on a classic hit called "Love Sosa" by Chief Keef released in 2012. The reason why I chose to parody this song was because I really enjoy his music and I'm sure many others do as well. I wanted to base the parody of quarantine and school. I used this two topics to recreate the song talking about staying inside and having to work from home.

Creating this project wasn't easy it took lots of editing and mixing to create the perfect sound. Starting this project came with many issues such as cutting the wrong clips out, not matching everything up, and messing up when trying to take out the artists voice in the song. Eventually I had overcome these hardships and got it to what I wanted. Using Pro Tools which I had never used in my life helped me get a huge understanding of how the app works. If I could change anything about this project I made I would want to go back and lower the artists voice as I feel I could of lowered it more to make it sound better. I am proud about how well I was able to edit my song and how well I used the voice effects to make it sound almost exact to the original song.

Using Pro Tools for this project makes me excited to do more projects like this because I want to get even better at editing and mixing. Over time as we get more projects I would be able to feel more confident on knowing what I am doing. Using this confidence always bring the most creativity from me which is something I enjoy a lot. Overall this was a very fun and awesome project to get to do recreating a classic favorite song and getting to build skill with the app all go into how I see others who mix and edit sounds and music for a living. Noticing ones art is one but actually understanding how one created it and the creativity and thought that went into it I feel aren't always seen, this project helped open my eyes to that even more and I can't wait for more projects like this.
